The AnalytikJena UVC-503 goggles have
air vents that are located on each side of the goggles to allow air flow while blocking all ranges of UV light radiation. Eye and face protection is essential for anyone working with any ultraviolet sources - shortwave, midrange or longwave. Shortwave UV radiation is especially hazardous and can cause delayed reaction of severe retinal damage and sunburn to unprotected eyes and skin.

Recommended Standard: Occupational Exposure to Ultraviolet Radiation” published by the U.S. Department of Health, Education and Welfare. - Not for X-rays, gamma rays, high energy particulate radiation, microwaves, radio-frequency radiation, lasers and masers, and sports.

Caution: Although intended to protect the eyes, care must be taken to protect other parts of the body from skin burn associated with shortwave UV wavelengths. Avoid shining any ultraviolet lamp on reflective surfaces. Wear protective clothing and skin cream.
